Recalibrate Today Live
Financial Workshops for Your Church, Ministry or Business
A self-made man, Stephen Bolt certainly knows how to achieve goals; in sports as a world class runner and Hall of Fame inductee, and in business
as a financial consultant, top producer, author and successful entrepreneur. But what Stephen Bolt also knows a lot about is personal tragedy, and painful, unexpected economic loss. Stephen says:
"The irony is that in reality, our lives – the composite of all our successes and failures - are not really about us. God is not nearly as concerned about our particular situation, as he is about His glory, His truth and our eternal salvation. The world, like the Pharisees in Jesus’ ministry, wants us to become immersed in the despair of our failures. ‘He must have done something really dumb, or wrong’ they say. But as Jesus responded to the Pharisees who presented Him with a blind man and asked, ‘Who sinned, this man, or his parents?’ Jesus responded, ‘Neither. This happened so that the work of God could be displayed in his life.’ "
POINT ONE: It’s not about you!
When life does throw a curve, human instinct and self-preservation are activated and there is a strong tendency to crawl into a hole, fold into a fetal position and hide. But that’s not God’s design for us. Instead, He calls us to recalibrate – assess what went wrong, learn what we can, and trust Him to be our zip line to safety and a new life.
POINT TWO: Recalibrate – and get back to the battle!
We are all either going into a problem, in one, or just coming out of one, especially in these tough economic times. Because of his own very personal story, Stephen’s message resonates with anyone who has faced life’s tough times. And, since money is the economic oxygen of life, Stephen ends his presentation with interesting and even exciting insights into the challenges of the current world of investing.
