Usually, that term refers to a person from history who went through some tough times and instead of falling prey to despair and self pity, got back in the game and managed to contribute mightily to society and the kingdom. Are you a Recalibrate Warrior?
Many people are and don't even realize it. 2000 years ago Moses was selected by God to lead His people, though he felt entirely unqualified. Joseph was sold into slavery, but God used everything that happened for His purposes. David - the adulterer and murderer didn't fade away in shame and despair, but rather let God use him to build a great nation. Mary was singled out to give birth to God's son and her life was forever altered. More recent examples include Abraham Lincoln who filed bankruptcy, took 17 years to pay off his debts and lost 16 elections, then won the Presidency with only 33% of the vote. History is replete with people who faced adversity, but allowed God's story to be told through their lives, fighting the natural urge to simply give in to despair and let their candle go out.
